Exhibitions and Events.

Lynette’s work has been recognised at regional and national level
and has featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout South Africa.

Her work has also formed part of the Corobrik Collection at the Pretoria Art Museum.

While technically accomplished, Lynette’s approach to ceramics remains intuitive and expressive. She allows the character of the clay, the making process and her own imagination to influence each piece. This freedom can be seen throughout her work, from narrative ceramics and sculptural creatures to expressive vessels, jugs, platters and plates. Teaching remains an important part of Lynette’s creative life. Rather than simply teaching students how to reproduce a particular object, she encourages them to experiment, develop confidence and discover their own creative voice.

Artist. Maker. Teacher.

Today, at her studio in Pringle Bay in the Western Cape, she continues to create, exhibit and share her knowledge with students. At the heart of Lynette’s work is a simple belief in the importance of making: trusting the creative process, exploring ideas and allowing something individual to emerge.
